The Face of the Firm

Ian Calderon didn’t study how Sacramento works. He ran the floor.

Elected to the California State Assembly in 2012, Ian was named Majority Leader in 2016 at the age of 30, the youngest in state history and the first millennial ever elected to the California Legislature. He went on to hold the post longer than anyone in the modern term-limited era, steering the Assembly’s agenda through four sessions.

He built a record where technology meets policy: he authored California’s Blockchain Working Group legislation, co-chaired the Legislative Technology and Innovation Caucus, and was named TechNet’s Legislator of the Year. Back home he delivered too, securing more than $15 million for his district and reopening a shuttered Whittier courthouse. Today he puts that inside knowledge and relationship network directly to work for Majority Advisors clients.
